Three divisions. Every member belongs to one.
Ground combat specialists. FPS PvP, boarding operations, and base assaults. Qualifiers M(1)–M(3), Tier 1 Marine ★ and ★★, Tier 2 Operator and Squad Leader.
Ship combat specialists. Space PvP, interdiction, fleet operations, and the elite ACE kill-counter program. Qualifiers S(1)–S(3), Specialist paths, through Ace Pilot and Squadron Leader.
PvE and support specialists. Mining, salvage, medical, and engineering operations. L(1) and L(2) are required of all members. L(3) is the universal gate for Tier 1 Marines and Squadron advancement.
Every Rune Guard member must complete Logistics L(1) and L(2) before pursuing any division cert path. L(3) is required for all Enlisted — it is the entry gate for Marine and Squadron Tier 1 advancement.

All Star Citizen certs must be retested every 6 months unless waived by a Gold Badge officer in your division.
