The Utility Pilot cert certifies you to fly the org's combat utility ships — bombers, interdictors, and EMP/distortion platforms. These are not casual ships. Used correctly, they turn the tide of fleet battles. Used incorrectly, they waste expensive assets.
You need to own a Mantis, an A1, and a Hawk before booking this cert.
Member knows when and how to deploy each utility ship type — bomber, interdictor, and EMP/distortion platform.
The member can be trusted to use all the utility ships correctly and not be a wasted seat in those roles.
Low-angle high-speed drops. Moving target passes. Repeatable accuracy required — 5x without fail.
Snare a ship coming into a planet. Stay in range while avoiding being killed — the best pilots do it well.
Correct weapon, correct moment, correct comms. One mistimed EMP can damage your own squad.
Fleet Pilot must also be complete before Squadron Pilot. Start it now — both Tier 1 specialist certs are required.
High-speed nav approach from 10k out. Drop, exit with noise countermeasures, avoid explosion radius. Repeated 5x without fail.
BomberSCM mode from 3k out. Single pass. Bomb must hit or near-miss a moving vehicle. One chance per session per week.
BomberDeploy interdiction field, snare a ship approaching a planet. Correct timing and comms with fleet.
InterdictionDeploy at the right tactical moment, communicate deployment, avoid damaging squad.

Watch Out For
Interdictors take heavy fire in fleet battles. Being able to do the job while surviving is the hard part. Practice evasion first.
You're an easy target in a bomber, which means you need to land your bomb on the first pass every time.
One good EMP can make a fleet battle easy. One bad EMP can kill your squadmates. Know exactly when to pull the trigger.
