Rune Guard Uniforms

Rune Guard uses uniforms to promote the organization's identity, camaraderie, and friend-or-foe identification — the same reason any team wears a jersey. Every uniform is chosen for both utility and appearance: something you can be proud wearing into an operation.

We have two primary uniform categories: the Squadron Uniform (the pilot's kit) and the Marine Uniform (the ground combat kit). A dedicated Medic Uniform also exists — you can find it in the Medical Guide.

Marine uniform is mandatory in PvP. The marine armor must be worn during any PvP scenario when you are in a marine role. Pyro is considered a full PvP area at all times. This was updated for 4.0 — see the command notice in the Marine section below.

Squadron Uniform

Also known as the pilot's uniform, this loadout is built around cockpit work: light armor keeps mobility high for EVA and emergency situations, while the backpack and utility slots are configured to carry a multi-tool, flare, food and water, and a personal sidearm.

Pilot's Uniform

Light Armor · High Mobility

Light armor is used to preserve movement speed for pilots who may need to board, EVA, or fight their way back to a ship. The yellow-grey colorway is the Squadron's identifier on the ground.

Marine Uniform

The marine kit is built for FPS gameplay. Full heavy armor was adopted in 4.0 to match the time-to-kill changes in the current patch. The all-black colorway with minimal visible lighting keeps marines concealed in dark environments and in space — critical for boarding actions and bunker ops.

Command Update · 4.0 Dvalinn — Dec 20, 2024

The marine armor has been updated for 4.0. We are going full heavy due to the time-to-kill changes we have seen. The armor was chosen for its availability at A18 and being the only complete color set available. It is 100% required to be worn during any PvP scenario if you are in a marine role. Pyro is to be considered a full PvP area.

Full heavy armor for frontline combat. Black with dark-red accents. Minimum visible surface area to blend into dark environments. Other variants exist for Medic and Squad Leader roles — see the Marines Division page for details.

Required in PvP. No exceptions. Pyro is always PvP. If you are in a marine role, you wear this kit.

Where to Buy

Most of both uniforms can be acquired in a single run to Area 18 — Cubby Blast. The squadron helmet is the one exception. Grim Hex is worth the trip if you also need to buy weapons — just note it costs more.
