Your First Friends
In The Org.

The L(1) License is the first step for every Rune Guard member. We use these licenses as a good way to get to know new members and vice versa — maybe play more with the person who invited you. Let this be an opportunity to make your first friends inside this org.

Note: If you are a long-time Star Citizen veteran who already knows turret and medical gameplay very well, talk to a senior member — we can skip this and move to the more advanced licenses.

Certification Goal

Introduction, Not Filtration.

Introduce you to our other members and evaluators, get you familiar with basic gameplay systems, and set the foundation for our certification system. We want to give you an important role in most events so you know what to do and can be useful.

Expected Outcome

Passing Members Can…

Member can operate a ship turret at a sufficient level for PvP and PvE and has demonstrated foundational medical knowledge through a quick multiple choice quiz. This gives you a valuable role in events right away.

Three Things To Know

Turret Basics

Guided practice in Arena Commander Free Fly with at least 3 members and a Guardsman+ pilot. Hurricane turret. Kills must be against PvP players. Think of it as guided practice, not a test.

Medical Quiz

Multiple choice covering: healing items, tractor beam usage, and revive sequences. Everything in the Medical Guide is on the quiz. Can be retaken immediately if failed.

Guided Until Proficient

This license is less of a test and more of a guided practice. You will be coached through both components until you reach the required proficiency.

What Passing Unlocks
Next Step

L(2) License

L(2) adds a solo Vanduul Swarm qualifier, a comm array hack, and an engineering primer video. Start thinking about your light fighter setup.
