Fly The Ships
That Matter Most.

Fleet Pilot certifies you to pilot multicrew vessels in PvP — frigates and dropships. These are high-value assets that directly impact battle outcomes. Nothing hurts the night more than having a ship of eight go down.

The evaluation tests you under combat conditions, not just in open space. New S(3) pilots will likely not have the skills needed yet — this cert is earned, not fast-tracked.

Certification Goal

Large Combat Ship Handling Specialist.

Member can operate frigates in combat and fly dropship insertions under fire.

Expected Outcome

Passing Members Can…

Member has passed the Frigate Combat Test and the Dropship Test (continual landing program). Certified to fly org multicrew assets in live operations.

Three Things To Know

Frigate Combat

Stay mobile, manage shield faces, direct turret crew. A stationary frigate is a dead frigate.

Dropship Insertions

Fast landings under stress. All landings done at speed. Indicate approach direction to ground team.

Shield Face Management

Active shield rotation under fire. A skill that requires real practice — learn it before the eval.

What Passing Unlocks
Next Step

Utility Pilot + Squadron Pilot

Utility Pilot must also be complete before Squadron Pilot. Both Tier 1 specialist certs are required — run them concurrently.

Pass & Fail

What Gets You Through

Pass

  • Frigate: stays mobile throughout combat
  • Frigate: shield faces managed correctly
  • Frigate: turret crew directed appropriately
  • Dropship: all landing scenarios completed within time and accuracy parameters

Watch Out For

  • Frigate: stops moving during combat
  • Frigate: ignores shield faces
  • Frigate: ignores turret crew
  • Dropship: unsafe landings with simulated passengers aboard
Preparation

Before You Book The Eval

01
Frigates must keep moving — always

The instinct to stop and aim is wrong. A stationary frigate is the easiest kill in a fleet. Constant motion is non-negotiable.

02
Shield face management takes real practice

Learn the shield rotation before your eval. It's a skill — don't expect to pick it up on evaluation day.

03
Communicate approach direction before every dropship landing

Know where you're landing before you start the approach. Tell the ground team. That callout is part of the eval.
