The M(1) Qualifier is the entry point for anyone who wants to pursue the Marine Division combat path. It is intentionally approachable — the point is not to filter out beginners but to confirm genuine interest and give evaluators their first look at your fundamentals.
You don't need to be great. You need to show up and try.
First step to show interest and establish a baseline. A stepping-stone cert — it demonstrates the member wants to engage with the Marines path and has basic FPS engagement capability.
Member has demonstrated a 3:4 kill ratio minimum and shown willingness to be evaluated and coached.
Minimum 3 kills for every 4 deaths across the engagement set. The primary gate — everything else is behavioral observation.
Evaluator notes positioning, aggression levels, and communication — but the KR minimum is the only hard gate at this level.
Attitude and willingness to be coached matters here. This cert is about showing you want to be in the Marines.
M(2) raises the bar to 1:1 KR and adds a gear check and survival mechanics review. Start working on smart crouch and cover discipline now.
Standard FPS modes. Evaluator observes across multiple rounds. No minimum kill count — ratio is what matters.
FPS3 kills for every 4 deaths minimum across the evaluation. Evaluator records results.
MetricPositioning, aggression style, and communication noted by evaluator for M(2) prep coaching.

Watch Out For
Dying less matters as much as getting kills at this level. Don't play recklessly.
A coached session will show you what the evaluator is actually looking at.
Play measured, not fast. One kill and zero deaths beats ten kills and fifteen deaths.
