Reach Rune Guard Leadership

All affiliate and ambassador coordination runs through Discord. If you represent an org that wants to establish a working relationship with Rune Guard, this is how that process works.

Primary Contact Method: Discord

Join our Discord server and introduce yourself and your org. Leadership monitors the server and will respond. Do not DM random members — go through the proper channels.

How to Initiate Contact
01

Join the Discord Server

Navigate to discord.gg/TQjtEHjTbB and join the Rune Guard server. You'll land in the public-access channels. From there, introduce yourself.

02

Post in the Appropriate Channel

Find the affiliate or general inquiry channel and introduce yourself clearly. State who you are, what org you represent, and what kind of relationship you're looking for. Be specific — "I want to do joint ops" is more useful than "I want to affiliate."

03

Wait for Leadership Response

Leadership will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We're a gaming org, not a corporation — responses may not be immediate, but they will happen. Don't send repeated messages or follow-ups the same day.

04

Initial Conversation

Leadership will have a direct conversation with you about what the relationship would look like, what activities align, and whether it's a fit. This is a two-way conversation — we're not obligated to agree to every request.

05

Ambassador Designation (if applicable)

If your org is establishing an ongoing partnership, designate a single Ambassador. This person is the primary point of contact and liaison for all joint op coordination. There can only be one Ambassador per org.

The Ambassador Role

The Ambassador is not a title in Rune Guard — it is a coordination role within your own org's relationship with us. Here's what it means in practice:

ResponsibilityDetails
Primary Point of ContactAll coordination between your org and RG goes through the Ambassador. Leadership will not manage individual members from your side.
Discord AccessThe Ambassador receives access to the dedicated ambassador coordination channel for the relevant game. Other members of your org do not automatically receive this access.
AccountabilityThe Ambassador is accountable for the conduct of their org's members during joint ops. If someone from your org causes problems, leadership contacts the Ambassador first.
Joint Op PlanningJoint operations are proposed and planned through the Ambassador. Reach out in advance — don't expect last-minute coordination.
One Per OrgThere is one Ambassador per partner organization. If the designated Ambassador is unavailable, the org should designate a replacement before scheduling joint ops.

Changing or Replacing an Ambassador

If your org needs to change its designated Ambassador, notify Rune Guard leadership through Discord before the transition. The new Ambassador will need to be acknowledged by leadership before assuming the coordination role.

What We Look For in a Partner Org

Not every org that reaches out is a fit for a working relationship. In general, we look for partner orgs that:

  • Play during aligned hours — evenings (6 PM PST / 9 PM EST range)
  • Have a similar ethos — competitive but not toxic, organized but not mil-sim
  • Have their own clear leadership and community standards
  • Are looking for genuine joint operations, not just access to our community
  • Are willing to respect our conduct standards without negotiation
